For a while I was putting weight on then losing it then back to putting it on again. Before starting with Ben I was struggling with injuries throughout the season which were not helped by not being in shape. Whereas now I am down 6kg and into good habits which has changed how I go about things. Now I would be delivering better lessons because I feel better along with having much more energy. Day to day I feel much better as well as having much better self discipline.
I did everything right and still looked the same
I trained for years. Properly trained. In the gym constantly, taking it more seriously than almost anyone around me. And year after year I looked basically the same.
It did my head in. All that time, all that effort, nothing to show for it. I started wondering if I was just one of those people it doesn't work for.
I wasn't. I was grafting hard with no system underneath it. No real progression, no tracking, no one holding me to it. Working in circles and calling it training.
Once I sorted the structure, everything changed. Same effort, finally pointed the right way. My body started showing the work for the first time.
